About Climate Action Forum
Climate Action Forum is a collaborative initiative aimed at uniting institutions, communities, and sectors to address climate challenges in Pakistan. The Forum was initiated by the Institute of Rural Management (IRM) in response to a call from the Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP), which highlighted the severe and growing impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities.
The challenge
Climate action in Pakistan, despite numerous initiatives, remained fragmented, with vulnerable populations bearing the brunt of climate impacts. A unified platform was needed to bring together diverse actors, facilitate resource sharing, showcase initiatives, and coordinate actions for greater effectiveness.
